Sunday Worship:
10.30am Family Service with Junior Church
The Preaching Plan for forthcoming services is included in
the online Calendar.
Regular, weekly services take place on Sundays at 10.30am (Family Worship, the children leaving for Junior Church part way through the service), with Holy Communion normally celebrated on the 1st Sunday morning of each month. A service with greater focus on younger children may take place on the 3rd Sunday morning of a month. Extra services are arranged at major festivals such as Christmas & Easter. Singing is led by a four-part choir of up to 12 choristers at morning services.
A copy of the Good News edition of the Bible is available for every member of the congregation. During prayers of intercession at each Sunday service, in addition to those for whom there are special concerns, we also remember on a rota basis all members of our church community, and those living and working locally. Members of the congregation regularly read the Lessons and sometimes take a larger part in organising and delivering worship.
When our Minister is not present, we welcome a variety of clergy & lay-preachers to our pulpit both from other churches (including other denominations eg Anglicans, Baptists and Methodists) and from within our own congregation.
Home communion services are a regular feature catering for those who have difficulty in getting to church because of poor health or infirmity.
